Softball at Great Bend, KS

 
The lady Diamond Beavers traveled to Barton on Tuesday to take on the Cougars.
Barton Co took over early in game one and held a 5-1 lead until the 6th when the Beavers exploded for 6 runs on timely hitting and took advantage of Cougar errors. PCC held on to win 7-5 Raushell Baca went the distance and got her 2nd win of the season.
In game 2 Barton again jumped out to an early 2-0 lead. However the Beavers made some adjustments at the plate and went on to take an early 8-2 lead. Barton fought back and eventually scored 8 runs, but it was not enough as the Lady Diamond Beavers were too much to handle. In the 7th Sam Garrison gave us the cushion that was needed with her 2nd home run of the year and PCC takes two with a final of 14-10. Ely Ortega went the distance and earned her 2nd win of the season.
