Phi Theta Kappa chapter inducts eleven new members
Students, faculty, and staff gathered on Thursday to honor 11 new inductees into the Pratt Community College chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, the national honors society for two year academic institutions.
The new members of Phi Theta Kappa, as of this fall, are: Alyssa Farrell, Landon Keiswetter, Alyssa Kinkelaar, Mercy Lugalia, Kelsie Lundgren, Jacob Massoth, Glory Mghase, Lauren Randall, Patricia Santiago-Infante, Joshua Trillo, and Katherine Wall.
The ceremony, which began at 7 p.m., Sept. 27 in the Auditorium at the Benson Education Center, was hosted by Hannah Shaw, Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society Advisor, Jim Stratford, Vice President of Instruction, as well as current Phi Theta Kappa Officers Jordin Ash (President), Shauna Guyle (Vice President and Treasurer), Hannah Lilley (Public Relations Secretary), and Jordan Biester (Recording Secretary).
PCC has offered a PTK chapter, and has been recognized by the international headquarters since 1970. Members of the organization attend conferences in the state of Kansas, coordinate blood drives, participate in Adopt a Highway, Cupcakes for a Cure, and Relay For Life.
