Beaver Backers

 

The mission of the PCC Beaver Backers is to facilitate and promote activities of the college’s Athletic Department. The Beaver Backers will work with the Athletic Director to support the needs of the department and raise funds to supplement the department’s budget. It will accomplish this while operating in compliance with the NJCAA rules and regulations.

PCC celebrates 75 years by inducting members to the Athletic Hall of Fame

For the second year in a row, Pratt Community College will recognize outstanding athletes who have participated in sports and graduated from PCC.
Last year PCC opened the Athletic Hall of Fame and inducted the first class of 23 members. This year 15 more will be inducted on April 13 at 4 p.m. in Carpenter Auditorium, in conjunction with PCC’s 75 Anniversary.

Golf tournament held in conjunction with 75 Anniversary

With it being Pratt Community College’s 75 anniversary many traditions that happen throughout the year are being brought together to have a weekend of celebration.

Beavers drop in overtime to the Grizzlies

Well, the competitiveness of Saturday’s contest with the Butler Grizzlies did not disappoint, but the final score did. The Beaver men’s basketball team played its second consecutive overtime contest, but went home Saturday unhappy with the score reading 58-64 Bad Guys in overtime, and we moved to 12-7 on the year and 2-3 in Jayhawk West action.

Men defeat Broncbusters in overtime

The Beaver Men's basketball players had somewhat of a stressful exciting past week. After a good win last Saturday against Dodge City, the Beavers traveled to Garden City Wednesday night to take on the Broncbusters. The Beavers seized control early in the game, in large part to Aaron Abram's 17 points, and went in to halftime up 32-25. Beavers lose to Garden City

The Women’s basketball team traveled to Garden City on Wednesday to resume conference play. Another slow start and lack of defense in the first half would set the tone for the remainder of the night.
