Volleyball competes in Oklahoma Tournament

Another weekend of Beaver Volleyball took place in El Reno, Okla. during the Labor Day weekend. The Lady Beavers had a slow start to their day on Friday against a Nationally-ranked, Seminole State College team. Volleyball loses to Hutchinson 3-2

After a slow start and a very one-sided 25 – 10 score in favor of the home team Dragons, Hutchinson Community College, the Lady Beavers came back to win a 30 – 28 thriller in set two. Another a few missed chances to take the lead in set three, the Lady Beavers ended with a 25 – 15 loss to the Dragons.

Volleyball Team Again Has Top GPA

In wasn't enough to just win the Conference Title this year. In addition, the PCC Volleyball Team also had the highest GPA of any athletic team for the fall semester of 2010. The team recorded a 3.39 overall GPA and had three players with a 4.0: Tayler Frederiksen, Hannah Melichar and Emily Scheck. The team is shooting for a goal of over 3.5 for the spring.

Jones Headed to K-State

PCC Volleyball’s Natali Jones has been offered the opportunity to join the Kansas State Volleyball Team as a walk-on in January. Jones, the Jayhawk West Conference Freshman of the Year, helped lead PCC to their first Jayhawk West Conference title. Volleyball Places Three on All-Conference Team

The PCC Volleyball Team placed three players on the Jayhawk West All-Conference Team for 2010. Skyline High School standout, Natali Jones, was named the Freshman of the Year, as well as First Team All-Conference. Setter Emily Scheck, a Dodge City native, was named to the Second Team All-Conference, and Tori Provencio, the libero from Derby, was named Honorable Mention. ...more »
