Phi Theta Kappa will be sponsoring a blood drive through the American Red Cross on Tuesday, September 14, 2010.

Women’s Soccer Remains Undefeated with Dodge Win

 Coming off a conference win on Friday, the PCC Women’s Soccer Team squared off in a non-conference match on Tuesday. This was PCC’s first contest at their temporary home pitch in Havilland, KS, and the win moved them to 2-0 on the season.

Men's Soccer Opens with Win over Indy

The Pratt Community College Men’s Soccer Team opened their 2010 campaign with a hard fought 1-0 win against Independence Community College on Friday. Callum Charlton scored the winning goal just before the halftime whistle. Pratt had several other excellent scoring opportunities in the second half, but could not capitalize on any of them.

Volleyball Goes 2-2 in Opening Tournament

It was a somewhat auspicious beginning for the 2010 Beaver volleyball squad, as the freshman laden team went 2-2 over the weekend in Lamar, Colorado. Pratt defeated Clarendon (TX) and Sheridan (WY), but lost to #21 Laramie County (WY) and Western Wyoming.

Lady Beaver Soccer Team Nets Historic Win

The Lady Beaver Soccer Team opened their inaugural season with a victory over Independence on Friday afternoon. Pratt defeated their Jayhawk Conference opponent 2-1.  Alycia Reed scored the historic first goal for Pratt's women's soccer program, taking a cross from Tanya Morales.

“Ballroom Dance: A Multimedia Art Form” Exhibit

Showing in the Delmar Riney Art Gallery at Pratt Community College from August 17 to September 10 is an exhibit by PCC Ballroom Dance instructor, Ande Hall. Part of the exhibit presents general information about the many aspects of this exciting and entertaining art form. Other parts of the exhibit showcase Hall’s original costume designs.

Basic Airbrush Workshop

There are three opportunities to attend the Airbrush Workshop, they are: June 26, July 17 and July 24. Each class will be held in PCC's Graphic Arts Studio, room 432 in Chandler Hall, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
 
There is a $50 enrollment fee, that includes lunch. Students will need to wear older clothes, or clothes that can get paint on them.
 

Wichita Oil Painters Exhibit at PCC

Now showing in the Delmar Riney Art Gallery are oil paintings by Jo Harris and Ann Sanchez from Wichita, Kansas. Over 50 paintings are shown, large and small, landscapes, portraits, animals and still lifes. Harris has painted all of her adult life but has renewed her interest since retiring in 2006. 
 

Zahradnik Exhibit in The Delmer Riney Art Gallery

Gordon and Rae Zahradnik are currently exhibiting paintings and ceramics in the Delmar Riney Art Gallery at Pratt Community College until March 12, 2010. The Zahradniks, who are husband and wife, call their exhibit "A Life of Art."

West of Wichita Drawing Exhibit

The first art exhibit of Spring semester will open Tuesday, January 12, in the Delmar Riney Gallery at Pratt Community College.  This drawing exhibit is titled  West of Wichita and will be on display from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday until January 29.

Art Instructors’ work is on display at Delmer Riney Art Gallery

Now showing in the Delmar Riney Art Gallery at Pratt Community College is the work of art faculty members Valarie Dellrocco and Marsha Shrack. The exhibit can be seen from Nov.10th through Dec. 7 during regular business hours, 8 a.m.

Jim Glynn Photography Exhibit at Pratt Community College

Currently showing in the Delmar Riney Art Gallery at Pratt Community College are nature and wildlife photographs by Great Bend photographer Jim Glynn. The exhibit consists of 40 large, beautifully matted and framed photographs. The exhibit will be in the gallery until November 6.

The Mechanisms of Memory

The Delmar Riney Art Gallery at Pratt Community College is hosting an art exhibit of Monika Meler and Derrick Stanley. The Mechanisms of Memory will be open Tuesday, September 15 and will run through Friday, October 9. The Delmer Riney Art Gallery is open to the public from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
