Phi Theta Kappa will be sponsoring a blood drive through the American Red Cross on Tuesday, September 14, 2010.

Women’s Soccer Remains Undefeated with Dodge Win

 Coming off a conference win on Friday, the PCC Women’s Soccer Team squared off in a non-conference match on Tuesday. This was PCC’s first contest at their temporary home pitch in Havilland, KS, and the win moved them to 2-0 on the season.

Men's Soccer Opens with Win over Indy

The Pratt Community College Men’s Soccer Team opened their 2010 campaign with a hard fought 1-0 win against Independence Community College on Friday. Callum Charlton scored the winning goal just before the halftime whistle. Pratt had several other excellent scoring opportunities in the second half, but could not capitalize on any of them.

Volleyball Goes 2-2 in Opening Tournament

It was a somewhat auspicious beginning for the 2010 Beaver volleyball squad, as the freshman laden team went 2-2 over the weekend in Lamar, Colorado. Pratt defeated Clarendon (TX) and Sheridan (WY), but lost to #21 Laramie County (WY) and Western Wyoming.

Lady Beaver Soccer Team Nets Historic Win

The Lady Beaver Soccer Team opened their inaugural season with a victory over Independence on Friday afternoon. Pratt defeated their Jayhawk Conference opponent 2-1.  Alycia Reed scored the historic first goal for Pratt's women's soccer program, taking a cross from Tanya Morales.

Music and Theatre

There are numerous opportunities for students to get involved through theatre productions, vocal music and instrumental music. Students are able to participate with other students as well as with community members.

“Phantom of the Opera” Auditions

The Pratt Community College Theatre department is pleased to announce auditions for the upcoming production of the drama, “Phantom of the Opera.” Auditions for teens and adults will be August 31 and September 1 at 7 p.m. in the Carpenter Auditorium on the Pratt Community College Campus.

"Seussical" Performance July 16, 17

Enjoy an evening of Dr. Seuss at Pratt Community College’s production of “Seussical-Theatre for Young Audiences” Friday, July 16 and Saturday, July 17at 7:00 p.m. in PCC’s Carpenter Auditorium. 

"Seussical" Auditions

Open auditions for the musical “Seussical—Theater for young Audiences” will be May 26 and 27 at 6:30 p.m. in PCC’s Carpenter Auditorium. Auditions will for those ages 5 and older. There are solo and chorus roles for all ages, from child through adult. Those interested in acting or technical roles only need to attend one of the auditions. 

Pratt Community College Student Art Exhibit

Now showing in the Delmar Riney Art Gallery is the Annual Pratt Community College Student Art Exhibit. The exhibit is open for viewing from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. during regular business hours or by appointment until May 5, 2010.

Cinderella Performance April 16, 17 and 18

Pratt Community College’s Theatre Department will present “Cinderella,” with music by Fitz Patton, lyrics by David Kisor and book by Joe McDonough, Friday, April 16 at 7 p.m.; Saturday, April 17 at 7 p.m.  and Sunday, April 18at 2:30 p.m. All performances will be held in PCC’s Carpenter Auditorium.

County-Wide Choral Extravaganza

Join students from Pratt High, Skyline High, and PCC for an evening of music!  Thursday March 11th at 7:30 in Carpenter Auditorium.  There will be many different genres of music from classical to contemporary, and perhaps even a surprise!

Jazz Concert

The PCC Blue Fusion Jazz Band directed by Randy Sauer will present a concert on March 4, 2010 in Carpenter Auditorium.   The concert will include a wide range of musical styles from swing music, funk, and even some Big Band Classics like Moonlight Serenade featuring vocalist, JJ Rupe, PCC Vocal Director.   Concert starts at 7:30.

PCC Holds Auditions for Cinderella

The Pratt Community College Theater Department will hold auditions for the spring musical, “Cinderella,” on Tuesday and Wednesday, February 2 and 3,at 7:00 p.m. in the Carpenter Auditorium. Auditions are open to the community as well as to the student body. Those interested are encouraged to attend. Parts are available for all ages, upper elementary through adults.

Sounds of the Season Concert

The Sounds of the Season Concert will be Monday, December 7 at 7:30 pm in Carpenter Auditorium.   The PCC Concert Band, Jazz Band, Group Guitar I Class, Encore, Bria Dolce, Vivace, and Concert Choir will all perform on the concert!!

Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol production

In preparation for the holidays, the PCC Theater Department will be producing Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol as adapted by John Jakes on Friday November 20th and Saturday November 21st at 7:30 pm in Carpenter Auditorium. Admission for the show is a $4 suggested donation for adults.
